Community Outreach is a huge part of what it means to be a Girl Scout. Our Mission, Promise and Law all attest to that. Therefore we will take part in the following Community Outreach programs so that we can fulfill the Girl Scout Mission, Promise and Law!
March 31st - Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation - Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a 501c3 nonprofit wildlife rescue organization in the Dallas/Fort-Worth metroplex specializing in the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned birds of all types. Our goal is to restore the health and independence of these precious creatures so that they may be released back into their natural habitat. Rogers Wildlife serves as a sanctuary for the remaining birds, as they are deemed non-releasable due to the extent of their injuries.

October – November 6th - Good Samaritans - Thanksgiving for Families
An annual event, our families receive a reusable bag of Thanksgiving ‘sides’ and a $15 grocery card to purchase their choice of meat. We’ve done this for three years and our families have been very grateful for the help. Currently, Good Sam serves around 550 families/month and this year we have a goal to provide 500 Thanksgiving meals. Good Sam will provide the bag with the a list of sides needed attached to the bag. With such a large number of bags to provide, we would greatly appreciate your help!
Thanksgiving for Homeless. Also an annual event, Good Sam volunteers prepare chili/stew/soup and serve it to our homeless the day before Thanksgiving. Since we have no place to cook, we just do a little ‘potluck’ and our homeless friends eat outside on the picnic tables.
